1. Cosa fa WeSelf
2. Quali dati possono essere raccolti
- Dati di account come nome, email, credenziali di accesso e metadati di autenticazione.
- Contenuti di riflessione come journal, check-in, stati emotivi, obiettivi e note.
- Segnali derivati dagli input dell’utente, come umore, stress, motivazione, chiarezza e connessione.

1. What WeSelf does
WeSelf is a wellbeing and reflection product that helps people express what they are living through, transform self-reported experiences into meaningful signals, and, where available, discover supportive local groups, events, or human support options.
2. What data we may collect
- Account information such as name, email address, sign-in credentials, and authentication metadata.
- Self-reflection content such as journal entries, check-ins, emotional reports, goals, and notes.
- Signals derived from user input, such as mood, stress, motivation, clarity, connection, and related dimensions.
- Optional support and matching data such as interests, approximate location, and group or event preferences.
- Technical and device data needed to operate the service, such as app version, device identifiers, and push-token data.
- WhatsApp interaction data if a user contacts WeSelf through WhatsApp, including message content, timestamps, optional shared location, and handoff metadata used to link WhatsApp with the app.
3. Why we use this data
- To operate the app, authenticate users, and keep sessions secure.
- To provide journaling, check-ins, insights, support flows, local groups, events, and onboarding features.
- To translate user inputs into structured signals that power dimensions, suggestions, and app guidance.
- To help users discover nearby supportive groups, events, and relevant connection opportunities.
- To run the WhatsApp companion channel, respond to messages, explain app functionality, and bridge WhatsApp conversations into the WeSelf app when the user chooses to continue there.
- To improve product quality, reliability, and safety.
4. WhatsApp-specific processing
If a user messages WeSelf on WhatsApp, WeSelf may process those messages to understand the user’s main need in the moment, explain available app functions, suggest relevant groups or events, and create structured signal inputs for the user’s WeSelf experience. If the user links the WhatsApp conversation to the WeSelf app, relevant messages may be translated into internal signal records connected to the user’s WeSelf account.
5. Sharing and processors
WeSelf does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by service providers that support hosting, authentication, notifications, analytics, AI or language processing, mapping, messaging, or infrastructure, but only as needed to provide the service. Where AI services are used, they are used to help interpret user inputs and support product functionality, not to replace human judgment in high-stakes decisions.
6. Location and local discovery
Location is optional. If a user shares location, WeSelf may use it to suggest nearby groups, events, venues, or support opportunities. Users should only share location if they want local recommendations.
7. Data retention
WeSelf retains data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain linked support experiences, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Some data may persist in backups or logs for a limited period. Users can request deletion of account-linked data by contacting the address below.
8. Security
WeSelf uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including authenticated access, controlled server environments, and secure transport over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. User choices
- Users can decide whether to create an account.
- Users can decide whether to share optional location data.
- Users can decide whether to link WhatsApp activity to the app.
- Users can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting WeSelf.
